The Sam Richardson 12th Man Scholarship shall be awarded in Honor of Coach Sam Richardson. Coach Richardson instilled these character qualities in the students he coached at Moberly Public School District: Character, Respect, Leadership, Hard Work, Accountability, and Teamwork.

The Sam Richardson 12th Man Scholarship is intended to grant financially dis-advantaged student-athletes the opportunity to participate in Moberly Little Spartan Youth Football & Cheerleading. This Scholarship is also intended to grant the immediate family members of those student athletes entrance into sporting events to enjoy the athletic performances (games).

The Sam Richardson 12th Man Scholarship is further intended to give those who respected, loved, and honored Coach Sam Richardson a donation opportunity in Sam's Memory.
